Carlisle Pride exists to uplift and support the LGBTQ+ community in Carlisle and the surrounding areas. We believe in the power of visibility, community, and celebration as forces for change, healing, and joy. Our committee was founded to unite people, regardless of background, orientation, or identity, in the spirit of unity, love, and pride.
Each year in June, we host a full week of Pride events that are open to everyone, regardless of background, orientation, or identity. These events are filled with fun, connection, and love. From the Pride Proclamation Ceremony, pool parties, a Big Gay Walk, drag shows, and more, Pride Week in Carlisle is a time to honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

When someone sees a gap for community or services, it takes a strong willed individual to create something new. That’s exactly how Carlisle Pride started. Chris Kapp started Carlisle Pride in 2019, and from the initial push, we have grown from one event a year, to multiple events.
When looking in Cumberland County, there’s not much to find when searching for LGBTQ+ services, events, or programs.
We’re here to change that.
Carlisle Pride is Starting up Monthly Events, and Youth Programming.
The Carlisle Pride Committee has been working toward building out our community involvement, and the time has come for implementation.
Our 100% volunteer team is working hard to build a sustainable organization while balancing the need for programs and services.
